The Southwestern United States features a semi-arid to arid climate, depending on the location. Other areas of the southwest may also be referred to as the "High Desert". Such as, the desert lands found in eastern Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico. Colorado has scattered desert lands found in southern, southwestern, western, and the far northwestern parts of the state.
